Progress at Port Appin

Exciting steps forward on a project revitalising a historic building in a beautiful location.

Things are moving forward on our conversion and restoration of the A-listed steading at the Airds Estate in Port Appin. The steading is a fine example of a Georgian 'home farm', but is in a dilapidated condition, and the project will bring it back into use as a wedding and events venue, holiday accommodation and estate facilities.

The steading sits overlooking Airds Bay, just one location in the Estate with superb views over the surrounding landscapes of Argyll, and we've really enjoyed the challenges and opportunities of developing a sensitive proposal for this special place.

IMA Trip to Copenhagen

In October, the Studio IMA team took a few days out for a research trip to Copenhagen.

Planning Submitted for Craighall Gardens

We recently submitted planning for an extension and retrofit in Trinity which is shaped by the use of sustainable materials.

After a very long planning process, we were delighted to recently secure planning approval for a new-build house on a beautiful leafy site in the Scottish Borders.

Our studio on Morton Street benefits from sun throughout the afternoons, particularly during the spring and summer months.
